Those guys are the rare exception, but Torres, Hicks and Donaldson all go up there trying to hit everything out.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I think they should use Miggy or Gonzo instead of Hicks. His batting style is always to lift & separate. I think that’s why he pops up a lot.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Wasn’t Jeter once part owner of the marlins? If he were still there we might have gotten a deal done, not sure.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Because every guy went up there trying to knock it out of the park, because we’re the “Bronx Bombers” , not the Bronx Singlers. When will they learn?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Hopefully Monty doesn’t suffer from no-run support syndrome like he did with us.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I hear ya Hitter, it’s like in the beginning of the season, they had all this enthusiasm and thought they couldn’t be beat. Now it’s like they’re thinking “how are we going to lose tonight?” Sure injuries are part of the game, but that’s when the healthy remaining players have to step up and carry the load for a bit. Where are those players that we used to bring up from minors and they would makeby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I guess people are right when they say a change of scenery can do wonders.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Kinda makes you appreciate the athlete Bo Jackson was. He could excel at both sports.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
No question about Judge, but you stick Soto in the middle of our lineup surrounded by Judge and DJ and Rizzo and Stanton ( whenever he comes back) and that is a formidable lineup, especially with contact hitters like IKF and Trevino. I’d hand the second base job to DJ and plant Torres on the bench. And as for Castillo, put him in the same rotation with Cole, Cortez, Severino( when he returns), taby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Starting to remind me of Greg Bird. Always getting hurt at least once or twice a year. That’s why he was the DH, so he wouldn’t have to do anything but concentrate on swinging the bat. Hell, if Big Poopi could do it for the Sux, Stanton should be able to do it for us!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I don’t know why the talk of getting rid of Gallo would affect their chemistry, he wasn’t doing jack to help this team, other than occupy a spot someone else should rightly have.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Castillo’s pitched a lot better than Montgomery had for us, and Soto’s a 23 yr old stud who’s just started to blossom and will be better than Hicks could ever hope to be. I wish we had both on our team.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
That too, but when you take a two run lead into the bottom of the eighth and you have guys like Holmes and Chapman, you should come away with a victory. Not walk the first two guys you face. I think Blake should’ve gone out there after he walked the first guy and told him if he walks the second guy, he’s out of there. You just can’t give these games away in the final innings. Unacceptable!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Our team looks ready to go to war without either of those two studs!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Walking those two in bottom of the eighth and not being able to throw a damn strike over the plate just ate me up!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I’ve lost all confidence in Holmes in close games!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Is it everywhere, or do they have it in for just the Yankees?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Some of our high leverage guys should be able to pitch more than just one game, like Luetge, Loaisiga, Effross, even the new guy Trevino. Why go with a question mark like Abreu?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I REALLY hated to see that! Unfortunate, but perhaps that’ll open the door for Miggy to be called up, at least till Carpenter returns.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Why don’t we hit them with men on like the other teams do against us?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I think both those guys would’ve thrived in New York. They both look like they love the limelight! I know Soto would kill it here with the porch. Even a fart from him would reach the right field seats!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
He must have 60-60 vision in both eyes! How the hell can he call that last pitch a ball??? He needs to change those glasses for binoculars!!!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Do some of these blind umps have it in for the Yanks? Seems like we are getting worked over by the Umpire’s Union, all of them!!!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
The look on Hicks’ face says “hey, what can they do to me?” I so wish they would bring up Miggy and sit Hicks ass on the bench!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
That is the one thing I miss about George not being around. He was not going to let the Luxury Tax keep him from getting the best players for his team. I think he would’ve told Cashman to get him Soto and Castillo or not to come back until he did. I honestly think he was not afraid to pay the Luxury tax if he was able to have a perennial winner.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Was it the all-star break? Was it Stanton getting hurt? Was it Rizzo hurting his back? Was it Holmes coming back to Earth? Was it all those stupid days off? What the heck are we doing different that we weren’t doing before? I have all these questions that Boone better come up with some answers, other than generic answers. Or maybe it’s Cashman not willing to make the big deals for players we needby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Don’t they have guys that throw decent junk anymore?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Just do your job and get on base! Go the other way!!!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I think I’d rather have Benitendi in left than Hicks, just for his bat. I’ve grown more and more disappointed in Hicks’ batting skills.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Why even make the overture if you have no intentions of sticking to it?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
