Haven't seen him in a game lately, did he re-injure himself again?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Sorry, I'd just come in from mowing the lawn and game was in second inning. Didn't catch that he was DHing today. Hopefully he gets his timing back soon. We need that potent bat!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
So why didn't they bring back that kid that was up earlier and had a 2-1 record before being sent back down? And he was a legit starter, not working out of the pen. Loaisiga I believe his name is.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Boone puzzles the h€ll out of me sometimes. He's only been back one day, he can't be tired out already. Oh, I forgot, Sonny boy has to have his "personal " caddy to lose to.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
This guy is a bum! I'd rather see Justus Sheffield up here than watch German struggle every fifth day. The guy cannot pitch in pinstripes.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
what could've been had the Yankees gone after the right ace instead of setting for Mashiro Tanaka. The guy is working on his possible 3rd Cy Young in a row! And I don't remember even making a serious offer to Scherzer when he left Detroit.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
The Yanks have got to stop blowing so many scoring opportunities. When we get runners to second base and beyond with less than two outs, we have to start thinking base hit and not home run. Go the other way and score that lead runner. These other teams make it look so easy to do yet we always make it so hard to add runs.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
If you load bases with no outs, you have to score at least one more run. UUGGLY!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Second and third, no one out and they can't score one lousy run? Then the other team starts chipping away because we settled for the 5 runs instead of tacking on extra runs when we get the chance.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Seems like when these teams play us, they play tough, yet when they play Boston, they roll over and play dead.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
It's not so much how he pitches against us, hell, a lot of top flight pitchers would have a hard time against our lineup, it's how he pitches against our opponents. Heck, even David Price has great games against other opponents that are NOT the Yankees. So it's not so much what a pitcher does against us.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Don't understand Boone and his subbing of Andujar. He's playing a first place team in the Braves, and Andujar has been swinging a hot bat. We need all the offense we can muster against a good team like the Braves. They are not going to roll over for us and we need all the fire power we can muster. Like I've said before, I don't see our opponents giving their hot bats a day off against us, so whyby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Don't know what's going on with Warren, he's turned into a BP pitcher. When he gets hit, it's cause he lays it right over the middle of the plate. Where is Holder, Kanely, and Shreve?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
It's great to have an extra bat on bench, but Boone would be fired if he replaced Andujar with Drury right now the way Andujar has taken over at third base.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
You already have a big bat out of the lineup with Sanchez on DL, so why pull Judge from today's game? Is a 26 yr old fatigued already after a third of the season? I look at our opponents star players and they never sit against us,by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Hit the nail on the he head! In the mid of his slump, he lines a shot to right center or right field, and you think finally coming out of it, then he proceeds to go back to trying to yank everything to left. If he sticks to going to right, especially against the slider/curve, those bombs to left will come! These kids don't realize how strong they are in Yankee Stadium. A fly ball to right will goby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Boone's taking too much of a page from Girardi's binder by sitting Judge. If there's any one on the Yankees that doesn't need a day off, it's Judge. Especially after hitting a home run in yesterday's game. He's too much of a game changer to be sitting down. I would sit Stanton down before sitting Judge down.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I agree, can you imagine telling Pete Rose he couldn't take out a fielder to break up a double play? That's just hard nosed baseball. All these guys are being coddled because they're being paid so much, the owners are afraid they'll lose their investment.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Have you noticed how some of these players nowadays look awfully sloppy dressed in their uniforms? Was watching the game between Giants and Nationals on MLB today and Gio Gonzalez looked like he had half his jersey unbuttoned, and the Nationals hitter was up there with his shirt tail hanging out off the back nearly covering his backside. It just looks like some of these guys aren't taking any priby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Sure is! Different hero every night picking up the other guys, love it!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Bases loaded, no one out and they let him off the hook. Unacceptable!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Hope he gets it that you don't have to pull everything to be a success in this league.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
going the other way and quit trying to hit everything out by pulling the ball. Both Sanchez and Stanton are strong enough to go the other way and still hit it out. Till they change their ways, they're gonna get nothing but outside curves and sliders.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
park Aaron Hicks on the bench. The guy looks like he refuses to go the other way with curve balls and is only looking to pull fast balls and takes more called third strikes. He's looking more and more like the guy from two years ago. What's pissing me off is he's making me wish for Ellsbury's presence and I don't want that.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I'm not saying I didn't want him on the team, I meant he has to take a bit more pride on his defense and work a little harder on blocking some of those pitches, or else everyone's going to be asking for a personal catcher.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Just look at his record since joining the Astros, other than Severino, I would trade that arm and record for anybody we currently have on our staff. And to think we could've made a bid or him when he was available, but all the fair weather fans said "he's too old"! You want some salt to go with those words?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
As a defensive catcher, he sucks! Can't move quick enough to block pitches in the dirt, always tries to backhand pitches that get under his mitt instead of turning his mitt around. He's the very definition of a designated hitter. Granted he's got a great arm, but he has to get the ball before he can throw anyone out.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Seems like we get runners on base and mediocre pitchers are getting our hitters out! Sure, we scored three individual runs, but blew a chance to bust this game wide open because of the lack of a base hit with bases loaded and only one out. It's play like that, that allows opponents hope that they can get back in the game. When you've got the chance to blow game open, you've got to go for the hitby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Tanaka not instilling confidence with many fans lately.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
We could've gotten someone cheap like Matt Harvey, though I don't care for his attitude. OR, we could see what Texas would demand for Cole Hamels, since it doesn't look like the Rangers are going anywhere this season. The Orioles are 18 games back and Cincinnati is 13 games back. I don't know if Derek Jeter is still in clean out mode in Miami, but maybe we could strike a deal with one of these teby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
