But we have Stanton, Andujar, Torres, Gardner, Bird, Hicks and Walker. You're telling me that all the unknowns on Miami are better than those guys? And their record to date shows that? 26 games under .500? I jus don't understand why we are the only front running team that always struggles against last place tams. I don't see Boston or any other top team doing that.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Why the heck do we always have trouble against last place teams??? Don't our guys give a damn about plying hard ALL THE TIME?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Tired of always having to look up at the other team in the early going of a game. Once in a while I'd like to see us get off to an early lead and HOLD it! Too many of the other guys get the quick drop on us and we have to play come from behind. Bad habit to keep going like that.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Well, according to Yankee broadcasters, when Boone was asked on why Cessa instead of Adams, Sheffield? His response was because of Cessa's experience. A young guy like Adams will not get experience unless you allow him to pitch. In his one and only appearance, he presented himself very well, earning at least another starting shot. We've seen what Cessa brings to the table, which isn't very much,by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I'd love to see the Yanks win the east also, but that's not gonna happen this year UNLESS the Sux tank in the coming month and a half, and the rest of the teams stop rolling over for them! And we have to stop playing .500 ball, win one, lose one to inferior teams. Simple as that. Boone's decision making is starting to get questionable on pitching, when he chooses not to give Adams a second start oby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Well, if the rest of the league would stop playing like the sux' b**ch's and play them they way they play us, then maybe, just maybe, we can cut into their lead. But then we also have to take care of business when we play them, and not roll over like we did the last time.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I'm with you on this. If you're gonna pay a guy to manage, let him! Not just to pencil in the names a cyber metrics program spits out. If someone is hot, you don't cool him off by giving him a day off. I don't care if a guy is scheduled to take a day off, if you're hot, you're gonna play until you hit a slump or cool off. You don't see Francona giving Betts or Martinez a day off after they've hitby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
And yet, we have a slasher type hitter in Ronnie Torreyes floundering down in Scranton instead of helping us up here. I'd take him over Robinson any day!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
We should be able to handle this team with ease, not be struggling to score runs! That's the problem with this years team, we lack the killer instinct to put away these lighter teams, even after a masterful performance by C.C., we keep letting these teams hang around by keeping the score close instead of pulling away. I'm so frustrated by this aspect of this years team!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Don't know why Gardner's not in there instead of Robinson? Boone likes to manuver that lineup around as much as Girardi use to. I don't think Gardner is that decrepit that he needs that many days off, and we're stuck with that lame duck out there. Robinson can't hit his own weight. When is Florial gonna push him out of the way?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com

I was thinking that you can never have enough starting pitching, and I'm not really sold on Sonny Gray. He just hasn't been consistent enough, even going back to last year when we acquired him. Every time he takes the mound, you're waiting for that one inning when it all blows up and he forgets how to get guys out. I hope we found some lightning in a bottle with Lance Lynn. He pitched a great firby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I do not mind at all, if the Yanks trade Sonny Gray to the National League for a different starter. Maybe a change of league and venue will be better for him and us. Great job so far by Lynn!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
If the Padres were going to put Ross on waivers, why didn't we offer at least a AA or single A player for him? What are the Cardinals offering after claiming him off waivers?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Yesterday after the first hr, he should've been brushed back, after the 2nd one he definitely should've been. After the 3rd one, he should've been plunked. Our pitching staff is a bunch of wusses! Man, I wish we had someone with the guts of a Don Drysdale or a Bob Gibson! They definitely would send a message after a guy hits two hrs, let alone three! And then the same idiot hits his 4th off us inby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I would, but I think the front office is enamoured with his power and overlooks his defensive skills, or lack of. If ever the DH spot was a sure fit, this would be it,but I think they're afraid of going the David Ortiz route.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Gardner - LF Stanton - RF Didi - SS Hicks - CF Bird - 1B Torres - 2nd B Andujar - 3rd B Walker - DH Romine - C That should be the day in, day out lineup as long as we're chasing the Red Sox. None of this experimenting with moving guys in and out of lineup. Robinson and Higashioka and Wade should remain on bench unless they come in for defensive purposes. That line up gives us the bestby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Don't know why they're so fond of this guy Shane Robinson, the guys a rally killer. They have to have better hitting outfielders in their minor system that they could bring up temporarily. This guy Robinson just doesn't impress me at all.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
If I were Boone, I'd demote Gray to bullpen and stick Lance Lynn in Gray's spot to see how that works out. Couldn't be any worse!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
You got at least two guys hitting .170 or less, another barely over .200 and yet we're losing 5-0?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Sorry to see Austin go, wasn't completely sold on Bird. Too injury prone, kinda soft for major league player.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Now let's go out and win this series tomorrow afternoon!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
They take way too many pitches. Fifty percent of the time, they are right down the middle. Then because they have one swing left, they swing at pitches out of the strike zone. Gardner for one, takes too many pitches right down the middle of the plate, Sanchez, when he's in there does the same thing. I wish we had a hitting coach that preached aggressiveness, instead of so much patience. Maybe I'mby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Why we can't mop up on these last place teams the way Boston does when they play them! Makes me want to throw stuff at the tv!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
He had Shreve warming up the inning before, don't know why he decided on Robertson with the lefty hitters coming up. Like I said before, his decision making today is a puzzler.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
It's like O'Neile said, if we had scored in that second inning, Sevy may have had a different mind set of pitches to utilize the rest of the way. It's disheartening to a pitcher when your team gets a golden opportunity and fails to give you runs.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I'd rather have a more potent bat like Tyler Austin than Shane Robinson or Tyler Wade. And why hasn't Ronald Torreyes been recalled?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Should've guessed the outcome when Andujar and Gardner weren't in the lineup, and we blew that scoring op in the second inning. Boone's decision making today so far is questionable.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Of all the outfielders they have in AAA and AA, why did they bring up a guy who doesn't even have 1 home run to his name? Who the heck do they have playing the outfield in Scranton? Is Boone scratching his head, or was that a Cashman decision? And why isn't Andujar playing third and Walker at second? It's like Boone wants to give games away. My bad, I overlooked Torres at second base., So sorry gby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
At least we still have Torreyes and Walker to fill in when needed.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
