Offer a nine year contract that includes this season, so it would really be an eight year contract that ends at age 38.
Where did you hear that Judge wants 400 million Trout money? I haven't heard or read that anywhere. At age 31 next year, he knows he won't get 400 million (unless Uncle Stevie wants to stick it to the Yanks!)
As for Cole money, that's 324 million. Look at what Lindor is making, and what Soto turned down. You don't think Judge deserves to be in the ballpark of Lindor's salary? Judge is so much more valuable than Lindor.
Three good years left?? He'll only be 33 years old three years from now. There's no reason why he can't have another solid six years going forward.
