Pitched the 8th - gave up a single to Devers, who should have been struck out the pitch before, down the left field line but trouble getting out of the box held to a single. Bogaerts hit back to the pitcher got the out at 2nd as Gleyber couldn't make the transfer. Easy 6-4 po for the final out.
Back out for the 9th - almost a homerun by Vasquez, he's just missing on the fb. Weak swing for strike 3. Verdugo goes down swinging. walk to Bradley, Jr - Liu singles to center - tying run at the plate for Benetendi who goes down swinging
curious why Britton wasn't used tonight nor Ottovino. Worked out
