I’m so glad they got rid of Rothschild, he was just too old to relate to some of these young guys. And it would take him forever to finally walk out to the mound to settle pitchers down. If I’m the pitching coach and my guy walks two guys in a row, I’m out to the mound to find out what’s going on. He would wait till 2 or 3 runs crossed the plate before dragging his butt out there. I would see the opposition coach out there right away if something didn’t go right from the get go. I for one will not miss him at all!
