Sounds like maybe you've listening to a lot of games away from Steinbrenner Field. When the team travels in ST out of Tampa, only a sparse number of regulars go. The starting pitchers are being stretched out some are up to 60-[75 pitches and should be on track for 100 before OD. Love the story that once Mariano became The Closer he wasn't even issued a road jersey as he didn't leave Tampa until ST was over. With less than two weeks until the season opener, the coaches & brain trust need to evaluate any players on the bubble for making the "26" that will go north or in this case west around the 24th - Once they have a better idea the regulars will expand their playing time probably within the next week or ten days.
