Yes Sir, Hitter...to explain...where I am at (province of New Brunswick) we found ourselves in a pocket that was minimally affected.
The smoke that usually drifts east and into the maritime or Atlantic provinces most years from wildfires is instead being carried south to the US and west further into Ontario and Quebec and maybe beyond.
Unbelievably lucky we have been. I think the jet stream is responsible for carrying that smoke from the wildfires in those directions. Tied in with that may also be El Nino at play contributing.
With those AQI numbers I can't imagine them playing baseball today or tonight. I guess we'll have to wait and see?
