Gary is definitely swinging at pitches he never did last season - that's what Marcus is being paid to work on with him - but only seems to be getting worse.
We could win over 100 games - and have to play a winner-moves-on WC to advance but still made the playoffs. In 1954 - there only were two leagues-American & National - the Yankees won over 100 (in a 154 game season) but didn't make it to the WS because Cleveland had a better record.
