Couldn't agree more H-man - Gary is one of the better MLB catchers. Perfect, of course not - but strange no matter what fans might say or think that when the dispute about Sonny Gray was going on, CC, Luis & Chap were the first ones to speak up in Gary's defense. I remember back with Jorge was breaking in as the #1 catcher and we were criticizing the fact that he didn't block the plate costing us runs - as for the way he receives the ball, the umpires should have their call before that since it's where the ball crosses the plate not where the catcher receives it. Before you get critical about blocking some of those 100+ mph balls in the dirt, try it yourself - not sure I would even play catch with someone throwing that hard. It's so easy to sit in front of the television and critique what someone else is doing wrong - everyone can be a that Monday morning quarterback
