Greed has been around for decades if not centuries, not just now. Owners have been battling with players even in Joe DiMaggio’s era. Joltin Joe held out before one season for an extra 30K. Remember Sportchannel taking free games away WPIX and putting them on cable? This is nothing new.
But regardless of the streaming of Prime and Apple, the lockout, the price of concessions at ballparks. It has nothing to do with food shortages, the price of gas and inflation in general. It’s ridiculous to point out player’s salaries and bonuses as being part of what’s wrong with today’s economy.
