unvaccinated visiting players are allowed to play - fans in the stands are unmasked whether vaccineated or not. This makes no sense since Kyrie was sitting right behind the bench and interacting with his teammates. Since it is the wording in deBlasio's mandate or rule, Adams could rescind or alter it to allow home players to participate especially since baseball is outdoors. BUt he's playing a political game behind the fact that thousands of city workers lost their jobs for not being vaccinated. This is really frustrating - they need to update their thinking as we learn more about COVID and its variants along iwith how effective the vaccines are and how long its effective. Further complications arise since China is once again in lockdown with a new variant and upsurge.

Also remember that Yankee players who are not vaxxed cannot enter Canada for Jays' series.
