yep - these contracts are getting out control. Michael Kay was saying that for smaller markets to stay in contention to sign the elite players the owners may consider selling to conglomerates who can afford the mega bucks - not everyone is obscenely rich like Cohan- because the MLBPPA does not seem likely to accept a salary cap like the NFL & NBA/ Of course, the fans will be the ones who ultimately pay the price in outrageous tix prices + concessions - the average family will be priced out of attending. How is this good for the game???
