Muts Closng in on Max

Another ridiculous contract is nearing completion, the Muts are close to signing a 3 year deal for $130 mil with Max Scherzer. Three years for a 37 year old - makes little sense to me but then we're talking about Steve Cohan - look at the track record. With the uncertainity of DeGrom's health and a few otherwho knows what the future holds??? I'm not going to try to figure this out - with the CBA expiring midnight tomorrow surprised for any big contract signing until teams/owners know what the luxury tax penalties will be
. Of course, Cohan doesn't appear to care with his bank account to finance his 'big boy toy' -is he finanlly givibg in what other managers feared when he purchased the team???? Guess we're about to find out.
