Love the idea of bringing Buck in - in hindsight that would have been the smart move for Boone's first year. A smart, baseball-savvy guy who studies the game. That's why they had Popeye for Joe Torre - BUT the difference is Buck knows the blue-collar workings which might not fall in line with the geek squad. Thought BUck got a bad deal in '95 - as Michael keeps telling apparently so did the Boss.
