There were two Cole's on the mound yesterday.
1. The Cole that pitched the 1st and 6th inning.
2. The Cole that was unhittable from the 2nd to the 5th.
Abreu had to have been tipping his pitches. He was pitching batting practice yesterday and though he's young, he's a better pitcher than that.
Yesterday was ugly, but we didn't score a single run either, so we would've lost yesterday's game even if the Rays scored just three runs.
I guess I'm feeling a little positive this morning thanks to the two lefty bats being added to this heavily right handed line up. I personally think Gallo and Rizzo will make a difference just for the sake of balancing the line up with lefties and righties.
And who knows what will happen by 4:00pm today? It's amazing that Cashman has gotten the Rangers and Cubs to pay the salaries of Gallo and Rizzo, making room for another potential move today.
