Re: LeMahieu 'not firing on all cylinders'

I haven't given up on DJ - could be the culmination & letdown after his battle with COVID going into the 2020 shortened season so he was probably playing on adrenelin then came the disappointment in October and the drawnout contract negotiations. Then he comes into 2021 with all expectations of playing 2B until injuries began knocking out Voit & Urshela - then he became the musical fielder. He would say none of that bothered him but how could it not. The reason his reduced production sticks out is that not one other player has picked up the pace or done anything with the bat. AJ was beginning to hit along with Gio but with the addition of Giancarlo - even those bats along with the rest have gone cold. Pathetic when against the struggling Tiggers we haven't put together any kind of rally - scoring on a wp or DP. Stanton returned last night with 4 Ks and sits out today - Hicks is on the IL & probably done for the season but he wasn't doing diddly. Frazier & Gardner don't have a .300 ba between them, have they even combined for double digit homers? Tyler Wade is the utlity guy and has shown some ability to get on base but doesn't make the starting lineup regularly. Odor hasn't done a whole lot either - what maybe 2 hits since he returned from paternity leave. Between Sanchez & Higgy catching is not a productive plate appearance either - more was expected . End of rant not because I couldn't say more but going to chill with some good old war movies.
