Their problems do not stem from having days off and/or playing a few games in the minor leagues after an IL stint. Voit played a few games in the minors before coming back from the IL. How'd that work?
They are built for the home run and nothing else. They strike out WAY TOO MUCH, and they hit into their 50th double play today which leads all of MLB..... No minor league stints are going to fix that!!!
The Red Sox who were supposed be non-existent in 2021 have three SOLID hitters in Martinez, Devers & Bogarts, and the rest of their hitters aren't that shabby either. That's why they are in 1st place.
