He may be doing his thing, but his thing is not working. Three to five years of failure can possibly be attributed to the players. Ten years cannot. It is either a cheap ownership (not the case with the Yankees) or a GM that has lost, or never had, the right stuff. And yes, for sixty years my definition of failure for the Yankees is not appearing in the World Series.
