They should offer Keuchel a lucrative 1 year deal instead of him just sitting on the sidelines wasting away a year. We’be seen it happen with other players, I think we should at least make the offer. All he can say is either yes or no thank you. But at least we can say we tried.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Should we be looking at Dallas Keuchel?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
A lead off double by Torres gets wasted because of their refusal to bunt him over to third with no outs. It’s the bottom third of the lineup for Christ’s sakes! Get him to third and all they need is a lousy fly ball to get a run closer. It’s fundamental baseball! And now the O’s get another run, unfreakin’ believeable!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
That’s cause no one’s trying to go the other way. They all want to pull the ball. And forget about trying to bunt their way on with the shifts, it’s not “manly” enough!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
How can a guy take such a nose dive from the manner in which he came up? From just one injury? He’s either too lazy to work on his skills or he’s pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Does anyone know why Clint and not Florial who I think is a better hitter? Unless Florial is hurt. Oops, just reread where Florial had suffered a wrist fracture earlier on in ST.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
And to add insult, we have to listen to the Phillies broadcast crew instead of ours!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Thanks, I’ll have to call customer service, cuz I have a recurring subscription, so it renews automatically every year. I’ve had it for the last seven or eight years.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
For three games in a row, mlb.com hasn’t provided any tv broadcast. Are the yankee broadcasters taking a week off or is there a special channel to get spring games on tv? I’m paying for a full year of Mlb premium and I thought that included spring games as well. Is anyone else having the same problem?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I agree, I think he’s gonna suffer the same fate that Mike Trout is suffering in Anaheim. Unless San Diego gets some notable names to surround Machado, he’s gonna get pitched around. No one’s gonna let Manny beat them when they can just walk him and get the guy who’s behind him or in front of him. That’s why San Diego hasn’t won anything since Tony Gwynn retired in 2001. Good luck Manny. One playby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I live on the West coast now, after leaving New York in ‘64, so I don’t get the breaking news or rumors as fast as you guys on the East Coast. So are we totally out of the Machado sweepstakes and moving forward with the two new infielders we signed? Or were they just trade bait?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
If the yanks release him, and someone else signs him, are the yanks still on the hook for the remainder of his contract? If so, why don’t they just trade him back to Boston for their equipment boy? Frees up a spot on our roster.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I totally agree, these agents are getting way out of hand with their demands. First they want these long term contracts for a king’s ransom, then they want an opt out option, and then they want a no-trade clause. Then if the player ends up sucking the last 3 or 4 years of the deal, the club can’t try to trade them without the players’ approval, yet the player can say “hey, I don’t want to play heby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
He would be a pretty good insurance policy if they don't sign Manny, at least till Didi gets back and beyond. I wouldn't balk at the signing.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Can you say Adam Ottavino. He would be the perfect guy to replace D-Rob. A N.Y. Native with a more than decent ERA and a 94 mph fastball and a stellar slider to go with it. But Casman better not wait too long or he'll be gone.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I guess the hierarchy believes in Didi's ability to come back stronger than before at a much cheaper price than Manny. Who knows what the Brothers are thinking at this point. I for one wouldn't give up on Andujar after that great rookie season he had. Who knows what his ceiling can be!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
That's a head scratcher, if they're still hoping that Machado chooses them. The safer bet would've been to sign Daniel Murphy who's at least a lefty bat.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I guess we didn't need another lefty starter that badly. Hope he doesn't turn into a Yu Darvish for Seattle.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Feliz Navidad ha todos! (Merry Christmas to all!)by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I won't lie, I wasn't broken up when Cano left to go to Seattle. I want 25 guys on this team who will hustle all the time, not just when it suits them. If Cano didn't hit it in the gap or over someone's head, you knew he wasn't going to bust it down the line. And I see Machado doing the same thing. And if you think that doesn't effect the rest of the guys that DO BUST THEIR BUTTS going down the fby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
We don't need Manny Machado. The guy will be a tumor on this team, he will mess up the chemistry with his selfishness. Sign Daniel Murphy to play second for a fraction of what it will cost to get Machado. Move Gleyber to short for a few months till Didi gets back, and don't mess with the good karma this team has built. Mark my words, Machado will destroy this team internally!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
If the Yanks aren't going to spend the cash for Machado (which I hope they don't ) why don't they sign the just released Troy Tulowitski to a one year deal to fill in at short til Didi gets back? I could think of worse deals, like Daniel Murphy for second and move Gleyber temporarily to short. At least Murphy is better than lame duck & light hitting Tyler Wade.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Don't understand Cashman's strategy. "We need to get front line pitching this winter." Corbin - gone, Eovaldi - gone, J.A. Happ - almost gone, Gray - still here. If he doesn't get off his duff, we will be stuck with Gray, while everyone else signs the front line guys we need! Sure we got Paxton, but he's said all along we need at least two front line guys yet it's like he's gone into hiby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I'd like to see them go back to playing real baseball and not over-the-line softball. Enough with these shifts!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I guess we'll have to settle for the oldest of the three, since EVo resigned with the Sux. Unless Cash can convince Dallas to shave that massive beard and wear pinstripes.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I'm royally pissed, to say the least. When Corbin stopped at N.Y., did he already have the Nats offer? Did he even mention the offer to Cashman so Cashman could at least try to match it? I mean if this was his last stop on his GM tour, Cashman should've been made aware of what his best offer was, so he could decide if they (Yanks) were going to meet or beat it.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Yeah, me too. You would think that if the Yanks made him a more than generous offer and IF he wants to play here that badly, he would tell his agent to just get the deal done so he could sit back and enjoy the holidays with his family instead of being on the road to all these other places. Sometimes it's worth it to listen to your siblings and your parents for a change. I hope they get it done beby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
