the Yankees told DJ to check out the FA market to see what was out there and to come back to them for an final offer. If the offer is reasonable the Yankees will counter - there was no point in the Yankees bidding against themselves - that was the smart business decision for both sides. If it's taking this long though, beginning to wonder if anyone else has made an offer. It's time for DJ to make a decision or the Yankees to explore moving on - ST is getting closer
