What began the end of March comes to an end in Arlington, Texas this afternoon - as GLobal Life Stadium sees its final baseball game after 25 years. The new stadium actually field will be across the street with a retractible roof to fend off those brutal summer days of 100+ degrees. They Yankees will be fine tuning for the ALDS which begins Friday in the Bronx. Chad Green will open with Masa coming - this was a decision that Masa preferred in case he needs to come out of the pen at some point during post season - smart move. Then big 4 - Kahnle, Otto, Zack & Chap will get worked in. Gary Sanchez will start behind the plate Voit gets the day off as DJ plays 1st. Stanton will DH. Judge, Gardner, Maybin in the OF with Urshela, Didi, Gleyber & DJ with IF duties.
With Voit struggling the last coule of weeks has he pllayed himself out of post season (at least the the LADS) in favor of Mike Ford who has stepped up to the plate since being called back up? Depending on the game we could see substitutes like Ford, Wade but also guys that Cash might want a look at for post season roster moves, That seems to be something a lot of fans don't consider when they b!+ch about using second tier reliefers and position player. Some guys will get DFA's as some minor leaguers will have to be protected and moved to the 40 man or lose to Rule 5 or FA.
