Tomorrow we're back in the Bronx for another split DH - Valera was optioned to S/B; Tarpley on the IL. Stanton moved to the 60-day DL to make room & add Joe Mantiply to the 40-man roster & signed Brady Lail to a ML contract. This strengthens the BP for tomorrow - now the question you can bring up a 26th man for the DH - who do you bring up. At least one game will use an opener.
Do you bring up another pitcher? or with Gley getting over the core issue - do you want him to play both games? Does DJ lay 2nd in one game & either 1st or 3rd in the second? Maybe call up Estrada for the 26th so Gley could get one game off or at least DH? Just thinking ahead - but these are just a few of the behind-the-scenes decisions that Cash, Boone, etc have to make daily - With more 35 injuries to major players this year - I think they're doing a damn good job.
