Re: Yankees noncommittal on Clay Holmes’ closer role as he allows walk-off grand slam

I read in today’s paper out here in West Coast that the Angels have a rookie reliever named Ben Joyce who threw a 105.5 fastball to strike out Tommy Edman of the Dodgers in last night’s top of the ninth. Someone like that who can throw that hard for a strike, I would not have any qualms trading Spencer Jones for, and make him the new closer. I’m so fed up with Clay Holmes’ inability to close out 1 run games with his junk pitches.
