I hadn't watched this since I was a youngster when it first appeared at the movies until today. I even read his biography for a book report in high school. It makes me realize how lucky I was to grow up here in Saratoga = we might have been sheltered from the bigotry & prejudice of the South. We grew up and accepted everyone for who they were. I won't go into details but it's a eye-opening movie and must really close to truth as Jackie portrays himself. Almost wish it had gone into more detail - I look forward to being able to watch it again probably next February.
