The New York Mets are seemingly interested in signing one of the New York Yankees' former star pitchers this offseason.
One of their most important needs this offseason was to fill out their rotation around Kodai Senga. Stearns was able to accomplish that by adding veterans Luis Severino and Sean Manaea on short-term contracts. Now, they reportedly are looking to add another former New York Yankees pitcher,
Domingo German.
"The former Yankee is in talks with six teams, a source familiar with German's situation said, including AL East foes the Blue Jays and Orioles. The Mets, too, have talked with German's camp, though the source said the Yankees' crosstown rivals are 'the least favorites,'" writes Mark W. Sanchez of The New York Post.
