The Yankees will begin the offseason with an audit of the organization, but it is highly expected that general manager Brian Cashman and manager Aaron Boone will return. The biggest changes likely will come on the roster, but there will be changes asked from Boone, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman.
"Brian Cashman is a lock to return unless he can’t live with what the outside auditor recommends (not happening!), and word on Aaron Boone is that he’s likely back, but it’s up to Hal Steinbrenner (who likes him),"

"Higher-ups will likely just suggest to Boone to instill more discipline (i.e., be tougher)."It's unclear exactly what more discipline from Boone looks like, but it shows that the organization is looking for things to be done a little differently in 2024 and beyond. New York's last World Series title came in 2009. There were expectations that the club could be in contention this season but things changed. The Yankees will be busy this offseason and already have been linked to plenty of big-name players who will be available.
