I almost want to laugh at this - first The Boss would be ostracized for trading off the farm for the older players and not giving the younger players time to develop - until Stick reeled him a bit - like when he was ready to trade Mariano. How many were in agreement with Cashman not trading Volpe & Perraza at that time feeling they had potential. Yeah I know Cash has put too many of the wrong minor leaguers in the 'hands off" category who failed miserably.

Please don't compare trading Mariano for Felix Fermin, with getting a left handed power hitting 1st baseman in his prime. The Yankees had SO MANY shortstop prospects!!!! Volpe, Peraza, Arias, Sweeney and who knows how many more?? And they drafted another shortstop this year!!!
And who said the Yankees were "trading the farm" for Matt Olsen??? They traded MORE to the A's for MONTAS!!!!!!!!!!
