I knew something was throwing me off - we're actually discussing the 1960 WS not '61 win over the Reds. I'm not sure though even the run support that Whitey got would have helped Severino - it didn't Bob Turley & Bobby Shantz in game 7 and the crowning touch was Raph Terry's final pitch of the game - I never got over that.
