I constantly see catchers moving their mitts up and in and down and side ways, AFTER they catch the ball. Are the umps that blind that they can’t see what the catchers are doing? Or do they honestly believe that the ball is going to move the catchers’s mitt that far over AFTER he catches it?? Those pitches should be called balls based on where the catcher catches it, not on where he moves it to. Don’t the umps realize they’re toying with their future employment by doing so? Or do they even care?
