There are some 'retired' numbers in Monument Park that IMO weren't a Yankee long enough or just had a nice career but not MP worthy that the upper echelon retired to have a "day" to draw fans. At least Gardy was a lifelong Yankee who gave his all without grumbling.

Judge wanted to keep his 99 - what better tribute to his grandfather & The Mick than for Volpe to sport "77" on his back. So looking forward to his MLB career.
