IMO, another Cashman fail. What has been the Yankees most glaring weaknesses since '09? SP and LH Bats. Cashman has consistently failed to pull the trigger on solving those problems through FA or the trade market. Sure signing Cole was great but he also signed Taillon who iirc he had been eager to acquire. Fail,fail,fail. Look at all the SP the Flushing team has signed. Of course it remains to be seen how many wins Verlander, Quintana, Senga, et al will contribute but for sure it will be more than the Bronx team acquired as it appears so far. Yes, Rodon is still out there but if they do sign him will that be enough to get to the ALCS and beat Houston finally or whatever team makes it to the ALCS?

As for LH Bats, sure Rizzo was a nice addition but not enough. He could have acquired Harper or Soto and failed to do so. I'm sure there were others I'm not remembering at the moment.
