haven't read that - but did read that the Giants may offer 9 years which is crazy but any team offering 10 years to field player over the age 30 is ridiculous. I'd really be surprised/shocked if the Yankees go over the 8 years on the table - they might offer more $$$$ once the Giants make their offer. So far the only offer on the table has been the Yankees.
