Since I’m on the west coast, I don’t get to hear the tidbits from the East. Do you guys know if our guys study pitching sequences of starters that have had good success against us? I mean, you know we’re gonna face Castillo this upcoming home stand. So you would think our guys would be going over the video of his outing against us in Cincinnati, and adjust their approach to his deliveries. If it was fastball-slider-curveball, you’d think our hitters would be prepared for that. Now if their egos are too big to sit and study his approach, then more power to him. But I for one would like to know what he’s going to throw to me. Again, that’s what the hitting coach is for, to help the hitters recognize what the other guy is coming at them with.
