I'd say it's a combination of both... (Scouting talent & luck)

I'm still amazed on how scouts can see a 15 year old in the Dominican Republic and say, "he's got what it takes to make it to the bigs!"

We better take all three against Cincy before Boston heads in next weekend!!!
