We don't really know how much interest we really had in Freeman or even Olson and how much was media speculation?? Our gurus who work these deals -keeping the budget restraints in mind - more often than not keep any serious potential trades or signings close to the vest until it's done or nearly done. Did anyone have a clue that Gio & Gary would be traded? Even Aaron Boone had said just the day before that Gio would play shortstop in 2022.
