Will baseball lose out to MLS?

With the lag of progress in the CBA negotiation or lack thereof, could the sport lose fans? We saw in during other lockouts & strike seasons especially in '94 when many Montreal Expo fans turned back to hockey with the shortened season canceling the WS when the Expos were on track for post season. Well MLS is starting to rev up with preseason CONCAF games and NYCFC is back in action - defending 2021 Champions.
