On the Verge of Ridiculous

First you have Tyler Glasnow saying that the new MLB BS 'hammer' enforcing is responsible for his injury. Since mid APril Jacob DeGrom has left games with various aces/pains/soreness, etc -the latest was last night after pitching 3 innings with soreness in his shoulder yet today he is on the field throwing. Either there is something wrong or he's becoming a hypochondriac. If you listened to Cole's presser, he is concerned with how many pitchers could sustain injureis in the coming months due to the 'cold turkey' edict of Rob Manfred's office - and never consulting the guys who will be throwing the ball without any gripping agent. We saw Gerrit having trouble gripping the ball especially early when the wind was wicked cold. Fingers crossed the Gerrit is fine today - day after throwing 104 pitches in 8 innings. MLB needs to reach out to the pitchers/players/Players' Union and find a compromise that will be agreeable to all before there is a bigger rash of arm injuries.

Interesting also was in back-to-back games, the Jays had relief pitchers come in pitch to one hitter and discover they have an injury - first one is on the IL Let's see about the guy from last night.

Just a couple thoughts while waiting for 1st pitch/drop the puck/tipoff tonight
