Yankees starting pitcher in Game 3

so I happened to check to see who the Yankees starting pitcher is for tomorrow and I see that Domingo German is starting for the Yankees in Game 3. Can anyone fill in some blanks for me here as I have not and had not heard anything about German's status with the Yankees? I thought there was supposed to be a very good chance that German was finished with the Bronx Bombers?

Guess German's not finished at all with NY but if any one could add some more info on that whole situation I'd really appreciate it!!
