There were several we could've had if we played our cards right when they were available. And they're both playing for Houston right now who today swept Cleveland 3 games to zip. Verlander and Cole. Imagine where we would be if we had those two on our staff.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Not at all, I always liked Nunez while he was with us. He brought a lot of energy and hustle down the line when he hit ground balls. And he gave us good speed on the bases. I just don't root for him now that he's on the Sux. I especially liked when he used to run out of his batting helmet legging out a double or triple.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Bases loaded no outs and we can only score 1 run? If only our guys would stop trying to pull everything and go the other way, all we needed is a base hit, not a home run. Aside from Voit, all our guys keep trying to pull, pull, pull!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Tip of the cap to Sevy, let's channel that and bring it to the mound every time. That's the sign of a true Ace.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
My vote is going to Happ! Even Severino hasn't been consistent of late.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Man, he sounds really pissed at Gary Sanchez' inability to hang on to a pitched ball. He said it's inexcusable that Sanchez can't hold on to balls that hit his mitt. You could just hear it in his voice.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I've got to ask you guys something, because maybe you guys have been following the Yankees a lot longer than I have. How does a guy like Gary Sanchez go from such an impact player that he was when he broke in, in 2015, to an almost non-entity player in 2018? I mean when I saw this kid play, I thought to myself "this guy's gonna be the next Johnny Bench" lasers were coming off his bat aby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Let's get home field adv. for the one game playoff.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
They're all looking like crap!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Instead of going out when CC put two men on, he waits until two runs score from a bases loaded hut by Jones. I tell you, this guy is helpless as a pitching coach!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I keep saying to myself, he's too slow to be a good defensive catcher. If we are up by one or two runs, Romine should be in there from the seventh inning on. Especially with the kind of relievers we have that like to throw curves and cutters in the lower part of the zone. At least until he shows he can catch or block those kinds of pitches without letting the other team advance their runners.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Definitely one of the better pickups for the Yanks this year!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
He has become irrelevant to those young guys. It's like having your grandfather go out and try and tell you how to pitch to a young batter. He cannot relate to either!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
They get a gift from Jay's' left fielder and can't get a lousy hit to tie it up. So disheartening!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I'm with you, I'm old school and don't like managers using a laptop to make their decisions. I'd go with whomever is hot at the time, we're here to win, not sooth egos. If you want to play, show what you can do when you get the opportunity. That's what Voit did, and That's what McCutcheon is doing. As long as Cutch is hitting, he gets the nod over Gardner in left. As for next year, Gardner is 35by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Yeah the grand slam was great, but a timely hit in that bases loaded, no out inning might have lifted CC up to where his pitch selection might have been different and a better outcome may have been possible. It's all about timely hitting and right now we don't have it.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I wouldn't blame CC if he walked away from this team at end of year. Bases loaded no one out and you can't get one lousy hit? Unfreakin' believable !by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Congrats on your granddaughters' 25th. My oldest grandson just celebrated his 10th. I agree, off days give us a chance to reflect on this season so far. Even though our pitching has been a little shaky recently, I'm getting more concerned with our lack of timely hitting. Maybe Judge and Didi being out has taken a toll on it, but we still have seven other "professionals" in this lineup tby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
One day they look like world beaters, and the next day they can't hit the broad side of a barn! We're hitting pop ups and the A's are hitting line drives! And to top it off, our catcher has reverted back to a human sieve letting balls get by him and forgetting what that chest protector is for. I could tell Seve wasn't too happy with him when he came out to the mound.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Encore! I think Mr Bird has lost his position to Mr. Luke!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Happ pitches his butt off and only gives up 2 hits, and all he's got to show for it is a no-decision, because we can't get a lousy hit with the bases loaded and no outs? I'm about ready to get a new tv, cuz this one has had too many pop cans bounced off the screen!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Luke has been a pleasant surprise at first base. Doing a lot more in his short time than that softy Bird has been doing in two years. Hope he keeps it up and maybe lights a fire under Bird's butt!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
Does that mean Robinson will be the Player to be Named Later in the Cutch deal?by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I hope he's never heard of Samson and Delilah! LOL!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I love this move, they should count Shane Robinson as one of the minor leaguers they ship to San Fran. At least in McCutcheon we have a bonified big league hitter as well as a decent outfielder. Kudos Cash!by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I don't feel any sense of urgency in Judge to get back in this lineup and lend a hand to these guys in these last few games. It's nice that he's being a cheerleader and all, but that's not gonna drive in any runs that they are going to need heading out west next week. And we can't give away anymore games like we did tonight.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
If you have a proven closer in Britton, why didnt they flip flop him and Betances till Chapman gets back? Especially tonight.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
The big man's been a godsend this year with our two big boppers on the sidelines. Can't wait for next year when they're all healthy and at 100%.by PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
I have to play devil's advocate so we don't look at this team through rose colored glasses and overlook some of management's shortcomings, like why does it take Rothchild so long to finally go out and talk to some of our starters when they go thru a rough patch in an inning? Sometimes he waits til they score about three runs off a guy before going out to settle him down or give him a breather. Buby PRYanksFan - TheYankeesBoard.com
