NEW YORK — Just when it looked like things couldn't get worse for the Yankees, their hottest hitter gets taken out of the game due to injury. Third baseman Gio Urshela was subbed out of Wednesday night's game against the Braves with lower back tightness, the team announced. After the game, Yankees manager Aaron Boone assured that Urshela's injury isn't serious and revealed that no further tby Hitman23 - TheYankeesBoard.com

Gio is batting clean up tonight...by Hitman23 - TheYankeesBoard.com
They're too right-handed, and the analytics team is in love with power hitters and have no problem with strike outs. Maybe they should hire Wade Boggs to be their hitting coach? He would hit bombs during betting practice, but once the game started it was base hits and not swinging for the fences. The Wade Boggs approach to hitting seems so appealing to me these days.by Hitman23 - TheYankeesBoard.com

Bad in pitching, hitting & defense..... The trifecta!!by Hitman23 - TheYankeesBoard.com
I agree with everybody here.... My suggestion and it’s one that Toga mentioned. Lower the mound even more if you want to increase offensive production. They did that after the 1967 season. Just don’t increase the distance from home plate to the pitching mound rubber. As Michael Kay said yesterday during the game, the 60 feet, 6 inch distance has been in effect since 1893!by Hitman23 - TheYankeesBoard.com
Major League Baseball wants to see if moving back the pitcher's mound will increase offense. MLB will experiment with a 12-inch greater distance between the mound and home plate during a portion of the Atlantic League season in an effort to decrease strikeouts and increase offense. The pitching rubber will be moved back to 61 feet, 6 inches starting Aug. 3.by Hitman23 - TheYankeesBoard.com
