Why? Pitchers in the past have had two Tommy John surgeries and still were able to continue their MLB careers afterwards. Nathan Eovaldi was one who had his second TJ surgery back in 2016 while with the New York Yankees, and later won World Championship(s) with the Boston Red Sux in 2018 and then with the Texas Rangers in 2023. Don't you wish we held onto him after his second TJ surgery
