With the two big FAs now signed - Strasberg returning to the Nats and our Christmas present of Cole- several other pitchers have signed in the aftermath. Cash & Co. can now focus on things like resigning Gardy (since Hicks will be out at least through midseason); the shortstop situation after Didi (whether it will be Gley or a deal for someone)' and of course the rumor not circulates the Yankee could pursue Maldanado (catcher from Houston who caught some of Cole's best games)/ It will be sad if we part with Romine but he deserves his shot - probably with a team where he can split playing time instead of being a backup at which he has exceled in pinstripes. With Higgy out of options, that presents another problem - he proved himself worthy this year with the injuries to Sanchez. Does he become a chip with Happ??? More off season excitement to come.
