If you read the scouting reports and know that a pitcher is known for having a good curve ball, I would think they would sit on hitting the curve, instead of letting it go by for a strike. It’s not a fast pitch so you would think a major league batting eye would be able to see it and time it going the other way . If the pitcher sneaks a fast ball by you, so be it, but if you know he’s got a great curve, that’s the one you’re gonna sit on and hit. I see so many guys sitting on a fast ball and getting struck out on a slow curve ball. You’d think a major league batting eye would pick up a slow curve a lot easier.
