WOW!!!!! It took 4 tries coming off the IL but once his teammates staked CC to a 6 run( 3 on Sanchez's 21st) lead in the 1st - C pitched 6 innings of 1 run ball. A few iffy moments but for the most part it was the kind of game I actually relax through. Snell just had one of those innings where he wasn't effective - 6 runs & only 1 out before Cash started a 9-man 'bullpen' march. Yankee bats were quiet between the 2nd & 6th innings - but the 7th saw 6 more runs crossing the plate highlighted with Gleyber's grand salami.. Great effort by the bull pen getting the final 9 outs (Holder & Cessa saving the big 4 for Houston over the weekend.
Maybin's steak of homers came to end = but he played a solid right while Gardy beat out a single with a head first slide in the 8th - playing a solid left. Stanton had the day off so he would be available for Houston.
