I just learned tonight that we can thank the Cleveland Indians for Aaron Judge being a New York Yankees player.
Here's why: The Cleveland Indians signed Nick Swisher to a four year, 60 million dollar contract after the 2012 season. Because of this signing, the Yankees were awarded a supplemental 1st round pick, which turned out to be the 32nd overall pick in the 2013 amateur draft.
Well, guess who the New York Yankees drafted with this supplemental 32nd overall pick? That's right...... AARON FRIGGIN JUDGE!!!
So let me say, THANK YOU, CLEVELAND INDIANS!!! For signing Nick Swisher, on December 22, 2012!!!
