2020 Yanks

Sanchez has been a major disappointment, and losing Severino, German and Kahnle didn't help. Not to mention the injuries to Stanton, Judge, LaMachine, Paxton and Gleyber. Plus, not having Chapman in the beginning of the season thanks to COVID.

If the injury bug didn't hammer us again this year I'm sure our record would've been better than 32-25 (which is still only five games behind the Rays) after 57 games, and that's another thing. The 60 game schedule didn't help. At what percentage did our players not play in this 60 game schedule? A 10 day stint on the IL is like being out for a month. Am I frustrated? Yes, but we're in 2nd place in the division with three games left. Hopefully they get past the best out of three1st round next week, where anything can happen to any team in three games, and that includes the Dodgers.

Lastly, I wouldn't exactly say that Toronto and Tampa has a lot less talent than us. Tampa is a scrappy team with solid starting pitching and as their manager, Cash has said, he has a "stable of horses that can throw 98" in his pen. The Blue Jays have great young talent in their line up with Bichette, Guerrero Jr, Biggio just to name a few. The Rays and Jays aren't a couple of pushover teams.
