Just for clarification I'm not blaming Girardi for the Yankees not making the playoffs however I do believe that he makes poor decisions with his Bullpen and that is the reason why we have lost a couple of games down the stretch. Anybody who tries to argue with me on that point is just as dumb as a box of rocks.
And tell me. What manager out there is leaps and bounds over Girardi in handling a bullpen? It should also be mentioned that Girardi takes the pitcher(s) health into play, and tries not to burn them out. You want to blame him taking Tanaka out of the game on last Thursday night when he was at 93 pitches? Fine.. I just hope you still would've felt that way had the bullpen did their job.
