Yeah, but the owner’s and manager’s job is to put the most competitive team on the field. And if you have a player who’s a better offensive threat, but not playing him, you’re depriving your fan base of that opportunity. Why keep playing a guy who keeps striking out at the most important times? And his only explanation is “ that’s what I do, I hit home runs and strike out a lot, no clutch base hits when needed, because I refuse to go the other way even if it’s wide open.
