The Yankees hired Eric Chavez as an assitant batting coach just after Buck Showalter was signed as the Muts new manager. ST hasn't begun - players can have no contact with coaches so Chavez has done little if anything in the position and now he won't. Seems the Post reports that Chavez has been signed as the Muts batting coach - an upgrade so apparently it's considered ethical. Sorry I see it as not honoring a commitment - for me it's the timing had Eric even spent a few months in the role of assistant I might not be down on him - lack of integrity on his part.
